SURVEY SERVICES
Our survey department employs the latest in field and office instrumentation, data collection and computers.
R&M was first in southeastern Alaska to purchase Electronic Distance Measuring Devices, Total Station and now, global positioning systems (G.P.S.) for surveying needs. We have both Ashtech and Trimble manufactured systems. Hydrographic surveys are accomplished through G.P.S. positioning coupled to state-of-the-art digital sounding systems. These sounding systems have depth detection capabilities ranging from 10 to 600 feet.
Software utilized both in field data collection and office reductions for plat preparation are industry leading and continuously updated.
R&M's survey managers and personnel have extensive experience spanning all of Alaska. Surveys have been conducted ranging from the North Slope Oil fields to remote areas of Southeastern Alaska.
